Eagle Rock Food Bank
Eagle Rock's local food center has been supplying food for more
than 70 families in the area and is threatened with closure. Food sources
are not the problem -- volunteers are. Between 35 and 40 volunteers
are needed each week to prepare food packages, stock shelves, and more.
Maximum volunteer time is 1 to 5 hours each week. There currently are
10 to 14 volunteers. Hours vary from morning to evening on Tuesday,
Wednesday, or Thursday. Even one hour a week can make a big difference.
